Classes are at the heart of the Deep Roots Movement Practice.

Classes allow us to meet with the shared purpose of exploring, experiencing, and practicing the grace, strength, and versatility of human movement. 

DEEP ROOTED MOVEMENT

This class is designed to build strength, joint mobility, balance, and body awareness, through the practice and exploration of:

Ground based exercises such as crawling, rolling, getting up, position transition

Traversing over, on top of, under, through, across, and around obstacles

Manipulating heavy loads by lifting, throwing, pulling, pushing, and carrying

Upper Body hang-based exercises

Additionally, we are tapping into the human spirit’s desire for connection, exploration, joy, and overcoming challenges. 

To accomplish this we use a variety of methodologies including traditional fitness-based exercises and less traditional methods such as play and task-based activities.

This is a moderate-high complexity class.

MOBILIZE AND MOVE

In this class we experience the joy and freedom of moving our bodies together.

This class is designed to lengthen the muscles, mobilize the joints, practice balance, encourage body awareness, and connect with others in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

By using traditional fitness-based exercises, yoga-ish movements and poses, focused breathing, play, and other task-based activities, we explore the expansiveness of our body’s movement capabilities.

This is a low-moderate complexity class.
